building work progress

Another week has passed and the builders are still with us, frustrating I know. But we’re making progress and the plan is to finish by the end of April now.  The Lift should arrive the week of the 13th April and then we have to do some work in the yard, replacing the fire escape and constructing ramps and steps so you can get in to the Exchange. So, lots to do in April.

Meantime, inside we’ve got to get on with setting up the new office and get busy with promotional activities. Many thanks to all those volunteering their time to help us with promotion.

I hope once people have seen the new space there will be suggestions for new events and meetings that can be held there.

I can’t wait to see the Exchange when it is finished. I really like the sign that is hanging up near The Cross, it’s all starting to take shape in the heart of the community.

The Exchange info should definitely be posted on this global coworking wiki site: http://wiki.coworking.info/

Lots of coworking spaces are described as being ‘shared offices with a cafe culture’ you could start a debate about what this entails?

I think there could be meetings for coworkers about running a ‘greener’ business with energy output audits or a class on ‘recipes for the office’
