Calling all artists – The Moseley Society is running its annual art competition in conjunction with the Moseley Festival (27th June – 5th July 2009). This year’s theme is ‘CREATIVE ARTS IN MOSELEY’. The organisers are looking for a great diversity of artistic forms to be reflected in the entries; poetry, drawing, painting, photography, jewellery, sculpture, textiles, wood carvings, film, installations even performance art.
“We hope the competition will encourage all forms of artwork, anything which shows the great diversity of artistic talent to be found here in Moseley,” says organiser John Underwood.
There are cash prizes up for grabs for the winners:
1st – £100
2nd – £75
3rd – £50
plus three special prizes of £25!

All entries will be on display at Woodbridge Gallery, Woodbridge Road, Moseley, B13 9DZ from Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th July. Winners to be announced at the presentation ceremony, 7.30pm on Friday 3rd July.
