Ladypool School Mosaic
Made in Moseley artist, Claire.L.Cotterill was recently commissioned by Rabiyah Latif of Birmingham City Council‘s Extended Learning Project to work with newly arrived families in the local school community in the summer term.
The design brief was to celebrate themes of inspiration and aspiration, learning together and transformation whilst encouraging newly arrived families’ confidence in their integration within the local community and learning new language skills. Children and parents were involved with both the design and production of the finished artwork, which resulted in a welcoming mosaic panel for the entrance of the school.
