This multimedia exhibition portrays the new wave of Polish migration in the UK in the historical context of previous Polish migrations. From Exile to Freedom catches individual voices in the political and historical process. This collection of stories portrays the experiences of the migrants and the socio-political context connected to their arrival to the new country. The exhibition includes photography, video and archive materials.

Exchange Masterclass – A Beginners Guide to Self Promotion
On 10th February Ruth Pipkin (nee Ward) of leading agency Rewired PR in Birmingham led a half-day training workshop for members and guests of Moseley Exchange.
During the workshop Ruth helped delegates to cover a wide range of marketing tools that can be used to help them promote themselves and their business, including Networking; Social Media; and PR. After the event delegates agreed that it had been a big success and that they had all learned invaluable new skills that will help them to grow their businesses.

About Ruth Ward
Ruth has over ten years experience in the PR and marketing industry, working both in-house and in consultancy before setting up Rewired in May 2008.
Now a team of six, Rewired delivers campaigns for clients across the trade, consumer and business to business sectors including Cadbury, Retail Birmingham and new skincare range, Bodhi.
Ruth is a former Birmingham Young Professional of the Year and a firm supporter of new talent. She is regularly invited to speak on the topic of entrepreneurship and has run various workshops on the topic of PR and networking.
Ruth sits on the Development Trust of the Birmingham Hippodrome, and is a Board Member of prize-winning independent fiction publisher, Tindal Street Press.
