We’ve had a bit of snow to herald in the season, and now Moseley will crank the preparations up a gear this weekend with a flurry of seasonal markets to meet your Christmassy needs, including a mammoth two-day fair right here at Moseley Exchange – putting Christmas shopping in the heart of Moseley.
It’s the last Saturday of the month so the fabulous Moseley Farmers Market will festoon the village centre as usual. Fill your fridges and freezers with artisanal delights from meats, cheeses and vegetables to drinks, pies and sumptuous cakes.
Likewise, Moseley Arts Market will take up its celebrated place across the road, with artwork, ceramics, jewellery and a host of other handcrafted wares ready to be stumbled upon.
Just behind the Farmers Market, St Mary’s Church is holding its annual Christmas Fair (10am-2pm). The Grade II listed building has stood in the heart of Moseley for more than 600 years; step inside on Saturday and you will find Santa’s Grotto, a raffle, stalls of jams, books, cakes and crafts, and – as you would expect from any self-respecting church – a range of refreshments.
But, of course, Christmas shopping in the heart of Moseley would not be complete without a visit to the weekend-long Winter Arts Fair here at Moseley Exchange.
There will be 58 different makers to explore over Saturday and Sunday – and each day will be different! Find gems from local illustrators, glass-artists, ceramicists, artists, jewellery-makers and more.
And if you’re visiting us on the Saturday, you can also discover a host of work celebrating 60 years of local artists in a special exhibition on the ground floor!
See you at the weekend!
