The Hall Green Art Society is holding an exhibition of local artists here at Moseley Exchange on Saturday 30 November.
The Hall Green Art Society was founded in 1964 by Harry Smith and continues to be a vibrant and welcoming community for artists of all backgrounds and skill levels.
Harry was a professional printer and an accomplished artist, and established the society to provide a space where individuals could gather to paint and discuss their artistic pursuits. He was known for his passion for oil painting, and was dedicated to fostering a supportive environment where members could share and develop their talents.
Over the years, the society has grown in size and reputation, drawing individuals who are enthusiastic about art and eager to learn from one another.
Today, the Hall Green Art Society remains committed to its founding mission of fostering a creative and collaborative space for artists. The society offers a dynamic programme that caters to artists at all levels, from beginners to seasoned practitioners.
Each session alternates between practical workshops, where members can hone their own skills, and professional demonstrations led by experienced artists. These sessions cover a wide range of techniques, providing invaluable insight and inspiration for attendees.
The Hall Green Art Society is an inclusive group that values creativity, learning, and community, and welcomes artists of all ages and abilities. New members are always encouraged to join, whether to explore a newfound interest in art or to refine existing skills.
