Gnosis | 19:30 – 21:00 every Tuesday

Gnosis or the word Gnostic relates to an individuals direct experience of reality/truth and can take the form of experiences of a Metaphysical nature or a heightened awareness of our psychological make-up.

It’s a form of “common sense” with regards to how we live our lives intelligently, but paradoxically this “common sense” uses the superior senses of Imagination, Inspiration, Intuition and Self-awareness (self-observation) to help us with everyday life situations.

Session includes a talk, a practise and Q&As afterwards.

Tindal St. Fiction Group | 20:30 – 21:45 fortnightly.

Tindal Street Fiction Group was founded in 1983 and is still going strong. Tindal street is a no-through-road street in Balsall Heath, Birmingham where the group used to meet. Afterwards the group would drink in the Old Moseley Arms. During the 80s and 90s the group produced several anthologies of stories and in 1997 published a book-length collection of stories by Alan Beard, which became a successful dry-run for Tindal Street Press (the publishing company that grew out of the fiction group). The group, however, is a distinct organization from the publishers, with different aims and personnel.
